okay. dropping it at chap 200. the novel doesn't get better but just became worse the further it goes. though i was reading it for the sake of exploring the vast world and the various world mc cross into... but then he became a tree and a demon tree at that? devour living things just so he himself survive and he doesn't even care his camp anymore. sure, not my cup of tea. felt like i wasted my time reading it before only to ended up with this.
The focus of this novel is literally he’s path to power through creating his own techniques and preaching them. I mean if you want romance or familial intimacy switch genres and what’s there to complain about the power system I mean do you expect him to explain the laws that he literally made up and if he could do that he’d probably be a god. The author at least set specific benchmarks for each realm and centered the growth of power on the universe in one’s body and the comprehension of rules and major changes involve transcending the confines of time so what more do you want the reason why the realms are just call 1st to 12th order is because of the level of the world and the ability to have a universal name due to the numerous evolutionary paths available I mean there are literally millions if not billions of paths and you expect them to have individual naming systems??? Who would bother to keep track. Didn’t you notice how other worlds with fewer or single paths have specific real names and then the void where the outer gods are goes back to 1st through 10thrank type naming because of the numerous outer gods that exist also do you expect him to just pick a random girl and suddenly romance sparks I mean have you not seen how those cliches ruin novels by making a female with potential braindead or forcing romance If you wanted to complain you should have complained about the method the author uses to introduce new stuff because a lot of times he introduces it right before it becomes relevant although it isn’t to frequent or bad in my opinion
i guess as expected in this genre. they all can't escape the stereotype plot of 'power is supreme' and author always find excuses for not inserting romance and familial relationship. things like 'descendant is redundant' or 'sister is still to young' or 'everyone has their own path' or 'it's better to let parent live carefree as filial.' or bla bla bla. the plot focus on power conquest and neglect character development. everything about leveling up like a game. and word count is used to overly describe technique. and when author can't even describe anymore, they just gloss it over with 'its all about understanding rule' or 'everything comes back to simple' or 'its space jump' or all that. he even didn't bother to name the level anymore (since author seems to have no idea about the realm) and just label it fourth stage. fifth stage six stage. admittedly the story is engaging since the world building is vast enough to make us read to understand it more. like other galaxy, star field, or even the whole human alliance and zerg alliance or any other alliance. even ancient god race was introduced. and yet objectively, every other aspect of the novel becoming lacking and author becoming lazy/redundant as the story progress.
